AIIMS Guwahati Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: 103 Vacancies, Apply Online by 18 September

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati has released a rolling advertisement inviting applications for 103 Senior Resident and Senior Demonstrator posts across 33 departments, under the Central Residency Scheme, on a tenure basis for three years. Medical candidates need a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council in the relevant specialty. Dental candidates require an MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, while non-medical candidates need an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacology. The upper age limit is 45 years as on the closing date, with standard government relaxations applicable to reserved categories. Of the 103 posts, the category-wise break-up is 34 for Unreserved, 37 for OBC, 17 for SC, 7 for ST and 8 for EWS candidates, with an additional 4% horizontal reservation for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD). Eligible candidates can apply online through the official AIIMS Guwahati website between 4 September and 18 September 2026. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from academic record and/or interview, as per AIIMS norms for Senior Resident recruitment.
