BTSC Pharmacist Result 2026 Out: Merit List, Hold-List Notice

The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has declared the result of its Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 (Advertisement No. 22/2025) on its official website. The written examination was held on 4 June 2026 to fill 2,473 Pharmacist posts under the Bihar Health Department, and the merit list was released on 15 June 2026. Of the 2,473 advertised vacancies, only 872 candidates were selected, as several reserved-category posts, including seats reserved for women and Persons with Disabilities in certain categories, could not be filled due to a shortage of eligible candidates in those categories. These unfilled seats are expected to be carried forward or adjusted as per Bihar's reservation rules. Alongside the merit list, BTSC has also issued a fresh Hold-List Recommendation Notice on 24 July 2026, covering additional candidates being considered against the vacant reserved posts. Affected candidates should check the official BTSC notice board for their roll number and further instructions. Eligible candidates need 10+2 with Science along with a Diploma in Pharmacy from a government-recognised institution and valid registration with the Bihar Pharmacy Council. Selection follows a written exam and document verification (DV); shortlisted candidates must carry original certificates, their pharmacy registration certificate, identity proof, and category certificate (if applicable) at the DV stage.
