CG SET 2026 Notification Out: Apply Online from 23 July, Exam on 4 Oct

The Chhattisgarh Karamchari Chayan Mandal (CGSSB), formerly known as Vyapam, has released the notification for the Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (CG SET) 2026 on its official website, vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. CG SET determines eligibility for appointment as Assistant Professor/Lecturer in universities and colleges affiliated to the Chhattisgarh government. Candidates holding a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and other reserved categories) from a recognised university in the relevant subject are eligible to apply. The test is conducted in an objective, multiple-choice format covering teaching/research aptitude along with the candidate's chosen subject. Online applications can be submitted from 23 July 2026 to 17 August 2026 (till 5:00 PM) through the official portal. The CG SET 2026 exam itself is scheduled for 4 October 2026. Candidates who qualify the test become eligible to apply for Assistant Professor posts at state universities and colleges, subject to the test's validity rules.
