ITBP Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: 282 Vacancies, Apply Online by 8 Sept

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), on behalf of the Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB) and Assam Rifles, has invited online applications for 282 Group A Medical Officer posts. The vacancies are split across Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-Command), Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant), and Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) ranks. Of the 282 posts, 115 are for Medical Officer, 162 for Specialist Medical Officer, and 5 for Super Specialist Medical Officer, with a 10% reservation for Ex-Servicemen within the Medical Officer category. Candidates must hold the relevant MBBS/postgraduate medical qualification recognised by the Medical Council/National Medical Commission, along with valid registration. There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is based on document verification, a personal interview, a Physical Standard Test (PST) and a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). The application fee is Rs. 400 for male UR, OBC and EWS candidates; women, SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and PwBD candidates are exempted. Age limits vary by post — up to 30 years for Medical Officer and up to 50 years for Super Specialist Medical Officer, with standard government relaxations applicable.
