Application Details
The Indian Navy has extended the last date to apply for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer entries under the June 2027 (AT-27) Course to 3 August 2026. The online application window, originally opened on 25 June 2026, now gives eligible candidates additional time to register for approximately 275 vacancies spread across twelve officer branches, including Executive, Pilot, Naval Air Operations Officer, Air Traffic Control, Logistics, Education, Engineering, Electrical, Naval Constructor, and Submarine branches.
Unmarried men and women holding a B.E./B.Tech, postgraduate degree, MBA, MCA, or other branch-specific qualifications are eligible to apply, with age eligibility varying by branch. Selection proceeds through shortlisting of applications, an SSB interview, and a medical examination before candidates join pre-commissioning training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, from June 2027.
Given the wide branch spread and the extended deadline, this is one of the larger Short Service Commission intakes the Navy has opened this year, and eligible graduates and postgraduates across engineering, technical, and non-technical streams are encouraged to apply before the window closes.
