RRB JE Recruitment 2026: 3,993 Vacancies, Apply Online by 13 September

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the CEN 04/2026 notification, inviting online applications for 3,993 vacancies in Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts, including 314 DMS and 35 CMA vacancies across the technical departments of Indian Railways. Candidates need a 3-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized institute to be eligible. The age limit is 18 to 33 years, with standard relaxation for reserved categories as per railway rules. Selected candidates will be placed at the starting basic pay of Pay Level 6 (₹35,400), along with applicable DA, HRA and other allowances. Interested candidates can apply online through the official RRB portal from 14 August to 13 September 2026. The selection process consists of a first-stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1), a second-stage CBT 2 for shortlisted candidates, followed by document verification and a medical examination before final appointment. Given the large vacancy count spread across all RRB zones, this is one of the most sought-after engineering recruitment drives of the year for diploma holders aiming for a career in Indian Railways.
