UP Special TET 2026: Apply Online 5 Sept-4 Oct, Exam on 3 November

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released the notification for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) 2026, an eligibility test meant for teachers and assistant teachers already serving in state-run primary and upper-primary schools, as well as Special Educators working with Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Online applications can be submitted from 5 September 2026, with the fee payment deadline and last date to apply set at 4 October 2026; a correction window for submitted applications remains open till 8 October 2026. The application fee is ₹1,000 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, ₹500 for SC/ST candidates, and ₹300 for candidates with disabilities. The exam will be conducted offline in OMR format, comprising 150 multiple-choice questions worth 150 marks over 2 hours 30 minutes, with no negative marking, on 3 November 2026. The qualifying cut-off is 60% (90/150 marks) for unreserved candidates and 55% (82/150 marks) for reserved categories.
