UPSSSC Auditor & Assistant Accountant Recruitment 2026: 1,829 Posts

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 14-Exam/2026 inviting online applications for 1,829 vacancies of Auditor (Lekha Pareekshak) and Assistant Accountant (Sahayak Lekhakaar), to be filled across roughly 22 departments of the Uttar Pradesh government. Assistant Accountant accounts for the bulk of the posts, with a smaller number reserved for Auditor. Only candidates who appeared in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and hold a valid PET score card are eligible to apply; a fresh written exam is not required at this stage. Candidates need a Bachelor's degree along with an 'O' Level certificate from NIELIT (or an equivalent recognised computer qualification), and the age limit is 21 to 40 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per state rules. Reservation benefits apply only to candidates domiciled in Uttar Pradesh; candidates from outside the state are considered under the Unreserved category. The online application fee is ₹25 for all categories. Candidates can apply through their existing UPSSSC candidate profile on the commission's official portal. After applications close, UPSSSC will prepare a merit list based on PET-2025 scores, category-wise reservation, and document verification of shortlisted candidates.
