The National Statistical Office (NSO) released India's first-ever district-level estimates of the unincorporated non-agricultural sector, based on the ASUSE 2025 survey; the top 50 districts account for nearly a third of the sector's establishments, workers and Gross Value Added (GVA), with the top 10 districts spread across Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, while Haryana has seven of the 50 most productive districts by GVA per worker.

The Election Commission's pan-India Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has its draft voter list published on 24 August 2026, with claims and objections open till 23 September 2026 and the final revised roll due on 27 October 2026.
